Pondering forces you into the territory of revelation.

 The adversary really does rage in the hearts of man now. He uses every way possible to get us mad or angry about something so small. He is an expert on behavior. He pays close attention to how we react to different situations, and knows what gets us ticking. He will do and does everything he can to blaspheme the face of God.


Anytime you think you're doing well, don't think you got it made. Just because we do some sort of good we can't think we're headed straight to the Celestial kingdom.

Most of the time we want bigger and better. We get newer cars, bigger cars. We get bigger houses... We don't usually get smaller houses. Are we always wanting bigger miracles? Are we not satisfied with the small miracles, the tender mercies of the Lord?

"Anyone can attain the abode of God by simply submitting their will to God with loving devotion." -Bhagavad Gita 9:32

"Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it's thinking less about yourself." -President Uchtdorf

"You won't survive spiritually unless you know how to recieve revelation." -President Packer

It's a lot easier to put the jigsaw puzzle together when you've seen the picture on the box. It's even easier when you keep looking back at the whole picture. Keep an eternal perspective.

"Upon common theatres, indeed the applause of the audience is of more importance to the actors than their own approbation. But on the stage of life, while conscience claps, let the world hiss! On the contrary, if conscience disapproves, the loudest applauses of the world are of little value." -John Adams

Without temples, we only have half a Church, with only half the access to the Atonement! The Atonement is for exaltation, not just for salvation.

"Zion" is a condition of the heart.

You can't get anyone to the Celestial kingdom. You can get them to Christ, and then Christ can get them to the Celestial kingdom.

"God can "educate our desires", others seek to manipulate our desires, but it is we who form our desires, the "thoughts and intents of our hearts." -Neal A. Maxwell

"Repentance is not optional for salvation; it is a commandment of God." (Bible Dictionary) If we're continually working out our salvation everyday, then we need to be truly repenting everyday.

A lot of missionaries have stories of their "last door" experiences where they decided to talk to one more person or knock one more door. There is something about putting our "agenda" or things aside to focus on someone and making sure they are okay.

"Teachers sent from the divine do not forcibly guide us to good nor do they take away from us all evil. Rather, they preach and seek to open our eyes to the consequences of treading a forbidden path. The person who sincerely listens to such preaching becomes the leader of men." -Upadesamala 448-49

The lesson comes after the obedience. There will always be an angel or the Spirit coming to help us understand why we are doing what we are doing.

We will recieve answers as we go about serving others.

 When we have confidence, we can have a lot of fun.  And when we have fun, we can do amazing things!
