"Life is too short for unhappiness"

06 March, 2012

I continue to write

"This love that we should have for our brothers and sisters in the human family, and that Christ has for every one of us, is called charity or "the pure love of Christ."  It is the love that prompted the suffering and sacrifice of Christ's Atonement.  It is the highest pinnacle the human soul can reach and the deepest expression of the human heart." -Howard W. Hunter

"The mantle of leadership is not the cloak of comfort but the robe of responsibility." -Thomas S. Monson

Sometimes it's really inconvenient to be called to a leadership position, because sometimes it's hard to love as the Savior loves.

Because we see things so often, we see them less and less.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." -Elder Ballard quoting Edmund Burke

"Two roads diverged in the wood, and I, I took the one less traveled.  And that has made all the difference." -Robert Frost

A man must be satisfied with the work that he has done, for after he passes on, he will be remembered but a short time.

We get so caught up in the moment that we forget to enjoy what we're doing.

For a man to do great things, he must not dwell on small things, though he may enjoy them.

It's okay to have a self-evaluation and figure out where you are in your life, so you can be at peace and find happiness again.

"I joined a club for people with imperfections and shortcomings.  It's called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." -David Anderson

"Personal testimony is the factor which turns people around in their living." -Gordon B. Hinckley

God does not teach things in a way so we just understand them.  He teaches them in such a way that we can't misunderstand them.

The goal of leadership isn't to take everything on your shoulders and do it all yourself.  We worry too much about being efficient rather than being effective.  The Savior is always preoccupied with the one and having a long-term effect on that one; so should we as leaders.

Be quick to observe to not only observe the kindess and goodness of others, but to also act yourself.

"Our defiance of God is an expression of our ignorance, not of our individuality." -Neal A. Maxwell

A superstar is not always the leader.  The leader is the one who lifts everyone else.

If there wasn't any divinity in a person, what would ever push them to do something for someone else?
