Just keep walking...

    What does it mean to walk with God?  First, we have to turn ourselves.  We have to find a worthy purpose of why we are turning.  We have to turn away from the world.  Do we have faith in Whom we are about to turn to?  Do we believe He's there?  Do we trust that walking with Him is the best thing for us to do?
    Now we have to actually turn, changing our view as we act upon the faith that we have.  Turning our bodies and our minds around, repenting of the things needing repentance, changing and literally turning our hearts towards God.
    You have turned.  But you can't just turn.  God said, "Walk with me" not just "turn towards me."  Now you have to take that first step, probably one of the scariest moments of your life.  Here you are, looking at your Savior's face, wanting more than anything to just go forward and walk with Him, but then the words "I'm scared" come out of your mouth.  The Savior tenderly smiles and reaches out for your hand.  You realize that you still have to take a step to get to His hand.  You're hesitant.  But with all the courage you can muster, you put forth the required effort to move your leg.  Your foot goes down, you make the step of baptism.  But then you realize that your other foot is still where it originally was.  You took a step, you didn't jump.  But you take the Savior's hand, make that divine connection, and are now able to pull that other foot to where you are - You have that heavenly help in the Savior's grip now, you've received the Gift of the Holy Ghost.
    "I would ask if all is done?  Behold, I say unto you, Nay."  The Savior wants us to walk, not just stare at Him.  But now we know that we have connections with People in high places.  As long as we keep our grip tight with the Savior's hand, we'll have a driving force.  The Savior is not going to drag us along.  He'll stay right beside us at our pace.  We see that the more steps we take, the easier it becomes to take them.  The more we walk with God, the easier it is.  The more we walk by Him, the more we get to know Him, the more we understand and the more we become like Him.  We press forward and endure to the end.  Every time we take the Sacrament, we tighten our grip.  The more we walk with God, the deeper we engrave His name in our hearts.
    We're not perfect, and every time we feel our eyes looking another way, the Holy Ghost and the Light of Christ grasp our souls through our hands, bringing us to a remembrance of what's best, and that we need to turn our heads and hearts back to God, changing our views and looking at the Savior once again.  The guilt drains away as we look into the Savior's peaceful eyes, and we realize the we can keep moving forward with the strength that the Lord has just filled us with.  No matter what, we can always look back towards the Savior, and continue to walk with Him.
